Description

The Asolo Arctic GV is designed for snow, ice, and brutal temperatures down to -20°C.

The Asolo Arctic GV Tactical Boots' water-resistant suede and high-tenacity nylon offer comfort, protection and stability; the Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort Footwear lining guarantees insulation and waterproofness. The outsole package is made of a mono-density Eva midsole, which gives stability, cushioning and comfort, while the Vibram Ghiaccio rubber outsole is designed with a self-cleaning design and, thanks to the use of the Arctic Grip compound, offers extreme grip on cold, icy and snowy surfaces. To complete the model, a PU rand all around for the maximum protection, and the webbing lacing system for a fast and precise lace up. To give better security, Asolo have added the RECCO Rescue System Technology for being always searchable.

FAQs

What makes the Arctic GV suitable for extreme cold?

The Arctic GV is specifically engineered for brutal environments, featuring a Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort lining. This guarantees waterproof protection and thermal insulation that provides a comfort rating down to -20°C.

How does the "Arctic Grip" compound perform on ice?

The boot features a Vibram® Ghiaccio outsole with specialized Arctic Grip technology—identifiable by the black and red stippled areas on the sole. This compound is engineered specifically for extreme traction on wet ice and packed snow, where standard rubber compounds often fail.

Why is this described as the "Camp Boot" for Arctic environments?

While boots like the Alta Via are your heavy-duty workhorses, the Arctic GV is the perfect "pull-on comfort boot" for survival tasks. It is ideal for building and operating around a camp in extreme cold, providing stability and cushioning via a mono-density EVA midsole without the bulk of a full mountaineering boot.

What is the RECCO® Rescue System?

To provide an extra layer of security in remote or high-risk environments, the Arctic GV includes integrated RECCO® Rescue System technology. This makes the operator searchable by professional rescue teams equipped with RECCO detectors in the event of an emergency.

How durable is the boot against ice and debris?

The boot is constructed with water-resistant suede and high-tenacity nylon, further protected by a full PU rand that wraps around the entire exterior. This rand protects both the boot material and the end-user's foot from abrasion and impact in harsh terrain.
