FAQs

Why is the Freney Evo described as the "Perfect Field Boot"?

While the Fugitive is a standard-setting combat boot, the Freney Evo offers elevated protection usually reserved for high-altitude mountaineering. Built with 2.2-2.4mm Water-resistant Perwanger leather, it is rugged enough for the most demanding ops while remaining a "lightweight boot with heavyweight performance" at just 663g.

Can the Freney Evo be used for fast-roping and climbing?

Yes. The boot features a fully enclosed hardware lacing system that prevents snags on fast ropes. The Vibram® 1229 Mulaz rubber outsole is engineered for precision and grip, making it equally capable for technical mountain approaches and rapid descents in the field.

How does the boot balance protection with freedom of movement?

The Freney Evo incorporates a 3D thermo-shaped tongue, collar, and ankle. This design assures the correct fit immediately while providing the freedom of movement required for fire and maneuver drills. An Eva anti-shock absorber co-injected in the heel area further ensures stability and cushioning during high-impact movement.

What is the benefit of the TPU insert at the rear?

The Freney Evo includes a specialized TPU insert at the heel, making it fully adaptable for semi-automatic crampons. This allows the operator to transition from standard field soldiering to technical ice and alpine environments without changing footwear.

What are the technical specs and sustainability standards?

The boot features a Gore-Tex Performance Comfort lining for guaranteed waterproofness and breathability in all conditions. Additionally, the leather used in construction meets the Oeko-Tex sustainability standards, ensuring the material is processed with high environmental responsibility.
